New in Eastern PA

So I do not yet own a Jeep but if all goes well and with the hope of some input I may this weekend. I have always liked and wanted a Wrangler but has not been ideal for me in the past...still not but I think I am buying one any ways. I am in the postion now where I can get a Jeep as a secondary vehicle for trips to the mountains, hunting, beach, wheelin and some weekend fun with the family so I am ready to pull the trigger. I am torn between the 2.4L and the 4.0, it's not a DD if I need a long trip or speed and power my car has enough for my concerns. The 4.0's are more and I found an '03 2.4L I really like with 104K on it that I can't stop going back to. I'm look for between 99-04ish must be manual and soft top so this one meets all 3. Thoughts or concerns? Thanks and looking forward to learning from you all and sharing pictures while it's still clean once I get it.

The only issue you may have is if you decide to go to larger tires, even around 33s, you are just not going to have the power you want. So it really depends what your goals are. It is surely livable, but don't plan on going much bigger than that in tire size. What's the price on the jeep if you don't mind me asking?

Asking $8995 for it. One thing I learned is they seem to really hold value.

That's not too bad for the mileage but with the 2.4 soft top and manual I would say don't pay more than 8 unless it's remarkably clean and well kept. Is that dealer or private.
