Great site! I have had just about every Jeep out there over the years: 1942 GPW,1946 CJ2A,1951 M38, 1955 M38A1, M170's x3,M151's x4 (not really Jeeps, but Jeep like)1998 Sahara,2000 Sport, and numerous weird foreign military rigs, the latest of which is a 1975 Volvo TGB 1111 .
I made the mistake a couple of weeks ago and drove a 2012 JK, YIKES! Well one thing leads to another, and today a 2012 Sahara 6spd followed me home. Its got 2k on it, the PO found the '67 Chevelle of his dreams, and needed the space, lucky me! After about 100 miles behind the wheel, all I can say is what an outstanding job they did with this thing, it is a rocket ship (Jeep wise), is QUIET, smooth and a blast to drive.
Just wanted to show myself, and to warn of any inane questions that may come to my little brain.
1st one: is there a trick to removing the stock shifter knobs? That is before I break something
It was used. The PO bought it on 12/13/2011, and put about 2k on it, and found another project that he wanted to complete, so the Jeep became expendable. Its a Sahara, black on black, 6spd with the hardtop and Trac-Loc rear, and was a smokin deal I could not pass up. I am in central Mass., and will use Guzik in Ware,Ma for any service I need, they are a no nonsense dealer, and they are honest. Here are a few pictures:
