New in Philly

Greetings Everyone!

I just bought a '98 Wrangler and am thrilled like it's my first car! Only 80k miles on original engine and drives like a dream.

This is my 4th Jeep: My dad bought me my first one new in 1995, I bought a new JK in 2008, then a used JK unlimited in 2011. This one is in honor of my dad, who sadly passed away last year. Always loved this body style. I call her Chooch (I know, also a Philly baseball moniker), which I found out is Italian for donkey (or jack!#*), LOL! I thought, how perfect because she's strong and never gives in .

Very excited to be part of this forum and welcome to all the other new folks, too!!

Welcome to the Forum! It's great that you honored your Dad. My Dad always wanted a Jeep (Wrangler), and he ended up getting a Grand Cherokee because it was more practical at the time. He was quite proud of it. He too passed away a few years ago, and when I got my 95 YJ I thought of him as well. Have fun with it!

Warning: It's said that when ever you call a Jeep, a "car" a kitten dies.

When I finally traded my '95 (trying to be so grown up), my dad was so upset he went and bought it!

That's great! They (Wranglers) have a way of growing on you! I know I'm hooked.
