I purchased my first Jeep Wrangler in March - a 2008 Wrangler X. It is also my first 4 wheel drive vehicle, so I am going through a cautious, slow-and-steady learning curve. My main reasons for buying a Wrangler are (1) I've always wanted one, and (2) I do landscape photography and need to safely get down some dirt roads and my 2 wheel drive Ranger wasn't cutting it. So far with the Jeep, I've had many people encourage me to do a bit more aggressive driving, but I am nowhere near ready for that, but I am eager to learn more about this vehicle, espcially when it comes to the ins and outs of proper operation (and what all the lights/sensors really tell me as I'm driving). Right now, I mostly feel intimidated by the Jeep - something I didn't expect when I purchased it, but I also didn't realize how many sensors and controls these things have until I sat down and read the manual. Hopefully, I will come to understand a bit more about it and feel more at ease, but that process may be as slow as molasses.
Over the last 6 months, I've read some posts on this forum and they've been incredibly helpful, so I thought it was time for me to officially join the community.
I look forward to meeting everyone.
