New Jeep Owner

I finally decided to buy a car that I really liked after years of "lowest overal cost of ownership over a 5-year period" stuff.

I have always been a BIG fan of the original Willys Jeep but not so much for the Wrangler. When the Wrangler Unlimited came out that really turned my head. It just looked right.

After looking at all the colors available Commando Green was the only color for me. I also really liked the look of the Black/Dark Saddle interior.

I came up with 2-choices either the Sahara or the Rubicon. I wasn't really thinking I would buy the Rub but I put together 2-spreadsheets with all of the options I wanted listing MSRP, Dealer Invoice and so on.

I asked my wife to take a look at photos of the Sahara and Rubicon in Commando Green that I found on the web. She immediatly asked me what was different about the Rubicon because she liked the look. I went over the technical differences but to be truthful she really liked the black fenders treatment and more aggresive offroad tires. She said...get that one!

I placed my order on January 3rd. I got my 1st VOTS email on January 10th. It was showing production scheduled for a while so I called Jeep on Tuesday and spoke with Debbie in Customer Service. She did some research and told me it would be shippining on Friday? I couldn't belive it would be that fast but this morining I got another VOTS message and it said the production stage was in FRAME. I can't wait to see if they actually ship it Friday!
