New jeeper

Hey guys, Shaun checking in here...recently purchased an 02 Jeep Wrangler Sport with the 4.0L and std NV3550 tranny.

So far I'm loving it but as with most modded/older vehicles its had its share of issues. Although I was expecting them I will add. I believe it has a 4.5" or 6" lift on 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers. Yellow and black with 20" rock star rims. I am still trying to figure out what all else has been done to it but so far the only mods I've added are a 12klb winch and 4-pack surf fishing rod holder. Pretty sure it has been regeared and possibly a rear locker but not sure on that.

Bought it out of Milford, DE with few issues...someone slit the passenger side window, the drive shaft cv joint or whatever it's called was dried/broken and had to replace that along with all the u-joints. And now it's started to stall in reverse after its gotten to running temperature. It has also stalled a couple times in forward gears but rarely. So, here I am trying to track down similar issues and meet fellow jeepers in my area! Thanks for having me and looking forward to meeting ya.

Thanks! Looking to pick up a Wrangler in the next week. Have not decided on THE ONE yet. Have to do some research between the 3.8Lit engine and the 4.0 one. Any tips? I am going to be doing any crawling or anything harsh like that.

basically the 3.8 has better fuel mileage and a smidge more power i think. buuuuut the 4.0 has the torque band is lower so its better at off roading. with more torque at the lower rpm so more power for longer. at least thats what I believe
