New JKU

Got my JKU about a month ago now. Been wanting one for decades, but the time was never quite right. I was looking at little fuel saver cars this time, and my wife suggested we stop by the Jeep dealer to see what we thought. She always has been the smart one...

I'm loving the forum. Finding all kinds of good info here. I'm considering a teraflex leveling kit, or maybe just some synergy spacers for the front for right now, and maybe the Eibach spring kit when I'm ready for wheels and tires down the road a bit.

So far its been great. It seemed like a nice day out today so I took off the freedom tops to go visit my sister for a bit. Decided after a while that 41 degrees just isn't quite warm enough for that

I've made a few additions that I really like.

The Nfab wheel to wheel bars are good for the wife and kids, I'll just have to see how bad they hang up on trails.

Surprise Straps front and back look great and are very comfortable. When we need to hang on, they are ready.

Daystar dash tray GPS mount works great. I ran the wire under the dash right behind the tray and you can't see it at all. Haven't run power back there, just have the cig lighter plug come out under the glove box for now.

It will be mostly stock for a while now, but I am loving it so far. Just happened to buy it right before our two biggest snow storms in years and it has made us all extremely happy about the decision!

Welcome Aboard! You need some front splash guards.

Yep, I gets dirty every day! But I'll get by without them I think. I'm thinking I may order Jks quicker discos for the stock height for it this week...

Thanks! There is a ton of good info on here! I don't know how anyone gets by without a good forum for their car.

Put on Truck Lites Phase 7 headlights and JKS Quicker discos this week. Both installs went easy with help from the forum. I like the increased light from the Truck Lites, but I had hoped the beam pattern would be a little better. It will work. I can barely notice any strobing from the lights, and the only time I see it is on the garage door when stopped. I have no idea what to say about the discos yet, we'll see what I think next weekend. As long as things go well, i'll be attending an Offroad 101 class at Kansas Rocks ORV park.

I also picked up a couple small tool bags from Tractor supply today. The bigger one is currently holding all my Jeep specific tools, and also holding the smaller one. That bag is empty but will be the home for the swaybar links while they are off. I think I like the setup. Like I said, i'll hopefully know better next weekend.

The Offroad 101 class at Kansas Rocks Park was incredible. Had a great time out there and met some great people. I did slide over and let a tree get a little too friendly at one point, but a strap on the back to a new Rubi and a CJ5 with a Q9000 on the front got me out of it quickly

I was completely amazed at the obstacles my stock Sport S could take. My biggest problem was the stock tires, mainly because it was so muddy that day, but it was great and I had the best time.
