New JKU owner from Buffalo - with questions

I recently bought a 2011 black JKU manual hard top Saraha and love it! When I drove it home from the dealer, I was trying to figure out how other Jeep Wrangler owners knew I bought a new Jeep as they were all waving at me and giving me thums up... I have since figured it out...pertty cool!

My last three trucks were Cherokees (and before that VWs). As a geologist, I use my Jeep to access back country areas and carry back lots of rocks!

I'm hoping to find some answers to a few questions on this forum...a couple were already posted. I would greatly appreciate any help!

Q1 - I have water on the passenger side floor mat...I noticed that there was a drain plug that was out...I put it back in and now notice water dripping down my passenger side door...if this "normal"

Q1A - I installed Thule racks so I could carry mu canoe...wondering if the ruber on the top of the door (bent from the rack foot) is causing the leak.

Q2 - I would like to get some Rugged Ridge Tubular bumpers so I can lash the front and back of my canoe down...not sure how the mat finish of the bumpers will look with the glossy wheel fenders...any picts of a similar setup would be greatly appreciated!

Q3 - I would like to get a soft top...maybe a bikini type top...are there tops that simply strap onto to the roll bars, etc?

Q4 - I'm not "in need of speed" but noticed that the Jeep is very this "normal" for this model?

Q5 - I'm not used to 6 gears...dumb question...on a flat road, at what RPM's should I shift at for 1-6 gears?

Q6 - What would be the max speed I would not want to exceed in 4WD? I.e., If I'm driving at 55mph on a slightly snowy road in 2WD...I would feel safer if I was in 4WD.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Because this is the newbie check-in area, you may not get the answers you are looking for. I suggest you check out this forum area and post your questions there, I think you'll get a better response.
