Talking New member

Hi, another Texan joining the ranks. Bought a 2003 Wrangler X a few months ago to replace the 2000 Wrangler Sport we sold in 2003. While I was not a Jeep person then, my wife's influence got the better of me. I now find myself immersed in learning about all things TJ and have started my... err, "her" Jeep build. We started out upgrading to nicer looking wheels from the chrome/steel stockers. And then order some detour slyders (which have yet to arrive) :-(.

Black Friday/weekend was not good for the pocket book. Hi-lift jack and accessories, then a huge rokmen order: front bumper and winch plate, steering box, engine/tranny skid, transfer case and gas tank skid, along with JKS sway bar disconnects and JKS adjustable coil spacers. I've also been reading alot about lifts, issues with spring sag, and building/strengthening my axles (D35).

This a great place to learn and be entertained. Many strong opinions, so I enjoy reading the more controversial threads, e.g. anything to do with upgrading the Dana 35. :-)

Take it easy.... and if you are in Central Texas, send me a pm and maybe we can get together to do some wheelin. I need someone to mentor me on the ways of 4x4.
