New member and sadly already need help...

Own a 1988 Wrangler and I am currently having clutch/transmission issues

... and I am having trouble with my clutch, also need to know which transmission fluid to use and where I put it in.

when i push in the clutch pedal my transmission will not engage until my foot is damn near to the floor

i'm not too much help,hows the fluid level?have you tryied bleeding the system?because i dont know does a 88 have a hyd.clutch? if not it sounds like it could be adjustment.

You can tell I'm new to jeeps cause I have no clue where to check the fluid levels or how to bleed it properly let alone which type of transmission fluid I am supposed to use.

Just called Kragen Auto Parts and my fluid is GL5 ADW90.. Does that sound right?

i have read a few other threads on this subject and some people are running a 10/30 synthic oil,look back to earlier threads for more info.
