New Member Checking In

Just thought I would check in and introduce myself. My name is Tom and I recently purchased a 03 Jeep Wrangler. I'm very excited to be involved in this forum. I already needed to consult the forum as my Jeep was involved in an attempted grand theft auto. They didn't take anything but they did wreck all the plastic on my column. Hi to everyone and I hope in the future I can be of some help somewhere.

Welcome Tom!
Have you installed a killswitch? Is it a soft top? Most people with soft tops actually leave their doors unlocked, because they would rather not have their tops cut. Never keep anything valuable in your Jeep. If you haven't considered a killswitch, I would look into it!

x2

i got a alarm system with a proximity sensor and a fuel shut off that is activated when alarm is armed. 100% agree with leaving doors unlocked, i have sliders with my soft top, easy to break, dont want to have to replace. i would suggest a tuffy consol, if you were to leave anything in jeep of any importance.

I do have a soft top so I do leave the doors unlocked. Where would the best place to put a killswitch be? My father told me about a lock that breaks the circuit on the ground wires leading to the battery. Does anyone have any experience with that or even know what im talking about?
