Hi guys. Snochick here. Been a few years since I've been on the Jeep scene. Let's just say there's a reason I have an ex, and part of it is you never mess with a Jeep chick's rig.
Anyway, hubby (new and improved one) and I bought a new Rubicon Unlimited last year. We just ordered a 3.5" Rubicon Express lift, Rockcrawler street lock rims, and 35" Mickey T's this week. It's the beginning of many mods to come, but she's on her way.
This is my 3rd Jeep. First was an '89 YJ. She was fun but I craved new and shiny and the Mudbird was born out of a 2001 TJ that I custom ordered while stationed overseas in England. I spent every weekend for the 3 years I was there in the hobby shop working on making her what she became. I also had the pleasure of attending the very last Jeep Fest to be held over there, and boy what fun it was.
I had many an adventure in her before she met her untimely fate by my ex while I was deployed. I'm really looking forward to turning this new JK into something as epic as the Mudbird was. The kiddos are along for the ride now so I doubt it's quite as hard core as it once was, but it shall be one fun ride.
As a bit of backstory on hubby and I. Hubby is Paveslave. He signed up today as well, but he's deployed so I dunno how much posting he'll get done atm. We're both Aircraft mechanics. I'm an AF vet of 6 years turned civilian now doing the same thing without the uniform for the AF. Hubby is obviously still active duty and serving on deployment number 4 or 5, I don't even remember anymore.
