New Member from Ontario

Hi:

I just wanted to introduce myself. My kids and I (13-year old boy, 5-year old girl) just went off-roading for the first time a week ago and we had a blast. We attended a 3-day OF4WD event in Minden, Ontario in a stock 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited with about 3,000 km on it. Upon arriving at the event and seeing some of the other vehicles, my son immediately said that we need to get a bigger jeep . It was a good learning experience. We drive in 4WD on our farm, but nothing like the trails that we went on. Even in wet areas, there is usually solid bottom on those trails, being up in the Canadian Shield (lots of granite). Makes for lots of rock though. The only thing we have more of on the farm is mud, so we have some experience in that. We have a 2 km trail on the farm which is quite mild, but there is a old trail that goes 300 feet up a hill with a 20 percent grade. I am thinking that we could make a nice obstacle run up it. Any thoughts or suggestions?
