New Member from Upstate NY

Hi Folks - I am a new member from upstate NY (Albany area). I found the forum and thought it would be a nice place to learn. I am not yet a Jeep owner, but am thinking about purchasing an older (say ~2000) Wrangler... seem like they could be a lot of fun.

Hi, Kevin,

My "Upstate" was between Buffalo and Rochester, but I lived in Schenectady when I was younger. I had a 2002 Wangler X that I bought in Buffalo and it was a blast. Stock, I did some impossible (for me) things with it like going though a 3 foot high packed snow bank and towing a van uphill on ice (that includes stock tires). It'll turn on a dime and give you 9 cents change, so watch the cornering.

Now I'm in Arizona and the Jeep I run (see avatar) is a 2010 Unlimited Mountain Edition. A little bit bigger turning radius, but just as much fun. And yes, I've been off-road with it.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I put my current car up for sale yesterday so as soon as that goes, I think I will take the plunge.
