Good afternoon everyone!

New member checking in from Sterling, VA. I'm a software engineer by trade and just made an exciting purchase! Traded my 2001.5 Audi A4 Avant:

On this 07 JK Sahara:

I'm going to miss the A4 dearly, but it was time to move on. It was entirely too low to be practical, and I've started hunting and fishing more so I needed something to suit those activities. I'm also going to miss the community, I was a moderator on several Audi forums and made some great friends in the process. Hoping this place will be just as much fun!

The A4 was "lightly" modified...

The JK is bone stock as near as I can tell, apart from some 15x6" MB 72 wheels and 33"x10.50 rubber. From what appears to be a tow harness bolted to the front fram rails, my guess is it must have been towed behind an RV or camper. It was probably somebody's weekend play toy. I've already ordered a handful of goodies from Quadratec, but this vehicle will stay mostly stock. I need a reliable daily driver, not a jack stand queen!

Being my first post and all, please let me know if I've committed any crimes against the forum. I'll be reading the FAQ and stickies, and checking in on the proper sub-forum. The Audi forums I was a moderator on were also run on vBulletin, so I should be able to find my way around pretty easily. Have a great Monday!

-Chris

Ahhh so you too know the pain of owing a needy German car lol. Been a learning experience, that's for sure. Although it's been nice not having to order parts from all corners of the world. I can drive down to AutoZone and buy brakes and spark plugs now!

I do, but that poor thing has seen better days. It's rusted to pieces and looks like its never been washed in its life. Mis-matched tires, missing lug nuts, all that good stuff.

Welcome to the forum! I've been here almost 1 day...

I also had a Quattro until a few weeks ago. I traded it in for a JKU Sahara. Now I'm looking for opportunities to break it in a bit!

Yup I know that feeling. I have an E46 M3 now as well and just the difference in prices for parts is staggering. When I bought the LUK clutch kit for $93 shipped I thought I was dreaming...

ps- My buddy and I are going to a Jeep meet this Sunday I Woodbridge at 9am. Feel free to PM me if you would like to come along.

Thanks man! I think I'm supposed to run a 5k with my fiance that morning but I'd much rather go to the meet lol. I'll let you know either way!
