Hey everyone,

So i am in the market for a jeep Rubicon.

some background about me. i moved here from boston 6 years ago and live in Redondo Beach now. My hobbies include roadracing sport bikes at Willow Springs (i race a yamaha R6 and street ride a yamaha warrior) and i also brew my own beer

anyways ive been in the market for a new vehicle to tow my race bike to the track and something to take snow boarding, i want to go to lots of mountins this winter like big bear, mammoth, tahoe etc. i currently have a toyota xrunner but these are not made for snow. if i do purchase a rubicon i would be towing my bike on a trailer, the bike weighs 400 lbs plus 100-200 lbs of stuff.

so i found a 07 certified Rubicon with 38,000 miles on it. comes with navi, hard top and soft top, one owner, clean car fax. 6 speed manual...etc for 23,000 plus tax and stuff. is this a good deal? what could i expect to talk them down to? it looks like its been there over a month and they already reduced the price. i am thinking of trading in my xrunner and buying this weekend, just waiting to hear from my credit union but i haven't gone to look at it yet or test drive one.

ive been reading around some forums and im getting very interested is doind some off-roading. nothing crazy....yet, just some easy back road trails. how is socal for trails. any you socal guys put together 4-wheel rides? i think i would like to get into the sport if i buy the rubicon, it will also be my daily driver and i don't need to take freeways to work, im only about 8 miles to work in the south bay.

brad
