New Member in South Carolina

Hello All,
Joined just now, and thought I would introduce myself. I have had numerous Jeeps in my lifetime. Right now I am restoring my Grandfathers 1946 CJ2A. My wife just bought a 2006 Wrangler. Look forward to sharing thoughts, knowledge, and ideas on The Wrangler here at the Forum.

Welcome to the forum! I'm right down the road on DI!

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but I am wondering if anyone knows a good mechanic for our Jeeps here in the Charleston area. I haven't had anything major come up yet, but I know at some point it's going to need some professional help!

Welcome from the Greenville area. If anyone has a rear window (tinted/and black cloth) for a 97 let me know. Just upgraded from a YJ to a TJ.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I have lived in Greer and know the Greenville/Spartanburg areas very well. I also have lived in Weaverville NC, and worked in Asheville, Black Mountain, Flat Rock, Montreat. Small world..Love the Blue Ridge Mountains! Went to a Jeep Meet in Laurel Springs NC last weekend. Both old and new Jeeps present....I love them all!!!

Love Daniel Island, there was a guy out on Crosstown road near the Air Force Base and Trader World. Went to see him the other day about my 46 axles and he was out of business...Don't get it, the good ones dissapear, and the bad ones stay in business.

That does seem to be the way it goes. For some reason those that make a living screwing innocent customers stay around. Keep me posted if you find someone you trust again, and I'll do the same!

Congrats Haines and WELCOME !!! Hey a friend of mine once restored a CJ2 with a new body from a guy in Philipines ( Juan ) who makes all the body parts brand new, including the Tub, I heard somebody was selling those bodies in the U.S., and I tell you they are awesome replacements, very exact replicas of the original Jeep Tubs.

Wow this forum is AWESOME! Love it! Johnnymoto I actually have an old MD Juan tub I bought, the older rusted style. May use it. Your right good stuff. I have what refer to in the Flat Fender world as the Jeep Fever, OD Green Disease. Lucky for me the Mrs. is down with that...She has the TJ. I get the best of the both worlds, Heritage and Modern. What could be better than that?
