Hello folks! I've been perusing the forum for a few weeks and believe there are some truly nice, helpful people here. Just reading through this great resource and community has helped answer many questions. Thanks a ton!
34 years ago, when I was 10, a friend of my father took us for a trip into the Tennessee mountains where only a Jeep could go. I sat in a folding chair in the back, clinging to the roll bars for hours. I've never forgotten the fun and excitement of that trip and I'm looking forward to sharing similar adventures with my kids (with seat-belts and without folding chairs! ...times have changed...).
I'll be picking up my first Jeep next week. It's a Flame Red '14 Unlimited Rubicon. Mostly thanks to you folks I already have a wish list of mods/upgrades ...and I don't even have it yet!
I'm in Troy, just north of Dayton. I'm sure it won't take me long to want to attend a Jeep event to get my tires dirty running newbie trails. I'm looking forward to learning what the stock Rubi can do. I know of Dayton's Muddy Buddies Jeep club thus far.
