new old jeeper

OK so technically my first jeep was not mine, it was a M151 Mutt that I was assigned to while I was in the army back in the mid eighties, right before the change of guard to the HUMV's. My next jeep was a 73 CJ5 that I purchased for $1,000 in 1994. No top (hard or soft), White rattle can paint job, old aluminum slot wheels 304 V8, 3 speed trans., AKA rusty money pit. So having a Young family and a newly launched business the quick sale of the jeep for 1500 was a no brainer. Fast forward to 2002 I bought a 1993 wrangler 3" leaf spring lift and 33's this has been my daily driver for 10 years but rides like a brick on a roller skate. So last week we treated ourselves to a 2012 Wrangler Sahara. Great ride with stock suspension and wheels, all the bells and whistles Heated leather, nav. 6 speed auto, 18" wheels hard top, convertible top it just needs a mild lift and some 33's. I don't want to mess with the ride, just need a more masculine stance. So HELLO from the Western Edge of North Dakota.

Welcome and I drove a M151 at my last duty station it was way out on an old tank range I brought it to the motorpool rebuilt the whole thing gave it to Top when the army put him out for being over due for retirement.

My first Jeep was a Willy my dad bought for $100 I plowed with it man I was 12 not sure what year it was but it had a can warmer under the good that was the only option it had use a candle in a coffee can for heat but that thing would go any where you point it
