New owner

Hi everyone, I'm the new proud owner of a '05 Wrangler. I love it so far. I WAS driving a '99 BMW so this is quite the change (for the better) I love it, BUT... just the other day my girl was with me and did'nt want the wind to mess up her hair. I switched on the A/C and found that it would only blow out the defrost vent no matter what the setting. The air was cold but it would not direct the air out the main vents. Also the Curise Control stoped working. Any help from you pro's would be awsome.

Sounds like a Vaccum leak somewhere. I believe both systems are controlled by vaccum if I am not mistaken. And do what I did. I keep pony tail holders in the jeep just for my wife...

Yup, we had the same prob for a while. I do believe Odhinn said it was a vacuum issue. I'm not sure how he fixed it but he'll see this thread soon enough. lol

Welcome btw!

Welcome to the forum.

Could be a broken vacuum line or a non functional check valve. Check all the lines under the hood and under the dash (by the control head and vents doors) for damage. Make sure you check the line that runs under the battery. Thats where ours had deteriorated and was leaking.
