New owner.. Bout time

Got my 2009 wrangler unlimited about 4 months ago when I got back from being stationed overseas. So happy to finally have one. I am not the brightest when it comes to vehicles but I'm definitely wanting to learn and get spun up quickly. Are there any "simple" upgrades that don't take too long to improve the engine or overall performance that anyone would recommend?
