Talking New owner, but need guidance

HI EVERYONE! I just got my first Wrangler (an '05) in November and I love it!
I just found out, though, that my overdrive shut off switch is not working and I am planning a drive/move from CT to AZ in the next month or so and was hoping to tow some of my stuff.
Can anyone guide me to how I can fix this on my own? It isn't covered under the extended warranty I got with the Jeep and I can't dig into the funds I have to move.
Thanks and I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing group!

Welcome! Try posting your tech question in the TJ section, the tech guru's don't really come in this section much. Where in AZ? It is pretty awesome

I'm heading to the Tempe/Scottsdale area. My daughter has been going to ASU for the past few years and I've wanted to be out there since our first trip.
