New owner from illinois

Hey, whats going on? Im new from Robinson ill, and just picked up my new (to me) tj.
To be more specific, Its a 98 wrangler 4 cylinder, 5 speed. has 115.400 miles and bone stock. Bought it in terre haute In for $4700 ( seller was asking $5100). Overall i like it, but originally wanted a 6 cylinder, BUT could not pass up the great price.

Havent noticed anything wrong besides a slick tick, but most jeeps i have saw at work( manager at autozone) tick the same? Is there anything i should look out for in these?

Already wanting to lift it, not a whole lot but mabey 2" tops. And already looking for a set of 31-10.5-15. I know this is a "NOOB" question, but what all is needed for a 2" lift? Ive been lurching around for a few days and couldnt really find anything specific.

Well on to the pic(sorry its small) dont mind the fadded fender flares.

Some 404 Aerospace Protectant or Mother's Back to Black would do wonders for those fenders.

Im actually just going to take them off and repaint them with trim paint we sell at work. Already got a set of 31's lined out i believe. Any sugesions on how to lift? Just would like 2" tops right now and cheaper the better. I was thinking about 2" spacers on the springs.
