New owner in So Cal

Hey there, I just bought my first Jeep the other day, and I love it already. 2003 Wrangler SE with 71,000 miles on it. The guy I bought it from seemed to of never taken it off road and has normal street tires on it. I am looking to get some steel wheels and bigger tires. Can I buy bigger tires with out getting a lift on it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome!
You can get bigger tires like 31s but I suggest getting somewhat of a small lift if possible

With no lift would the 31's rub at all? I am thinking about getting a 2.5" suspension lift. I am new to the whole off roading thing so any help is awesome.

You should be okay with 31's. IF there is any rub at all, it would only be on tight turns. I have 31's with stock suspension and no rubbing at all.

Some wheels that I have seen that I really like are either 15x10, or 16x8, does the size really matter?
