Hello all. My name is Stephen, and I recently purchased my first Jeep. I am 50 years old, and bought my first Wrangler. For years, I have wanted one, but with a wife and 2 kids it wasn't very practical, nor was it in the budget. Now, with the kids grown, and in the process of a divorce, I unloaded my Dodge Ram to get out from under a truck payment, and found an awesome 98 TJ. Over the last 3 weeks I am realizing what I have been missing for years. I have had pickup trucks, and I have had Blazers. All daily drivers, some lifted, some not. The plans for the TJ are simple for now. The stock wheels and tires are already gone, replaced with Ion Alloy wheels and 31 inch tires. Next up, will be a 2 inch budget boost, as the budget is still pretty well fixed, and I want to keep it a daily driver. I guess I am starting my second childhood. It will not see any rock climbing, or major off roading, but I will not hesitate to take it where I have taken my trucks. The main purpose was to have a capable vehicle to handle the northeastern Pennsylvania winters, and look good doing it. In the short time that I have owned it, I can see it becoming an addiction as my Harley Ultra Classic has. One thing that I have noticed is other Wrangler owners waving as we pass. Reminds me of how we bikers wave to other members of our motorcycle family. I thought that was pretty cool. In closing, I look forward to being an active member of this forum.
