New TJ needs a few things

Hi All

I am a first time Jeep owner and have just bought a 2002 TJ wrangler, 5 speed manual. I got it quite cheap as a non runner. The previous owner sold it non running because someone had tried to steal it and broke the immobiliser. I am looking to replace the immobiliser and ECM/ECU all as one unit with a new key and ignition barrel. Will the ECM from any 2002 4.0litre manual wrangler be fine? Hoping to get her on the road and out on some dirt tracks soon!

Because this is the newbie check-in area, you may not get the answers you are looking for. I suggest you check out this forum area and post your questions there, I think you'll get a better response.

Thanks for the welcome. I will post my question in the tech area and hopefully a Jeep Genius will know the answer. This makes my second Mopar as I have a 1967 Belvedere 2 with a 440 and 4 SPd in the garage too.

Sounds like a good deal, welcome! I suppose you will give her a better garage security.
