New TJ Owner

Hello all! I just bought a 2005 Rubicon. I'm excited to really drive this thing and see what it can do.

I used to own a 2004 Nissan Frontier, lifted and all that. In the short time I've owned the Jeep, I've taken it on one of the trails that I took the Nissan through, and the Jeep (BONE stock) made such an easy go of it, much out-performing the Nissan. (Lockers don't hurt...)

Anyway, I'm looking forward working on my Wrangler. For example, getting rid of the Death Wobble I've already experienced a few times in the few days I've had it.

Glad to participate in any way I can.

Welcome to the forum. I had Death Wobble for 16 months and finally got rid of it 2 weeks before my 3,500 mi. trip around the Southwest. My 4" 35" link shows the upgrades and maintenance items I had to utilize to get rid of the death wobble and later shimmy I had developed.

Here is some good reading to help with your steering problems.

It's from a music video for a song by Aphex Twin.
