New to Forum and to Jeep: Looking to buy one!

Hey guys my name is Eddie. I am 20 years old and live in North Carolina. I am new to this site and also new to the jeep world. I don't know much about jeeps but am here to learn. I am currently looking to buy a wrangler. I am looking for one on auto auctions that i can buy and fix up or maybe buy a used one on craigslist. Looking to spend up 7 or 8 G's. If you guys can help me out with choosing which series to go with that would be great, and any other comments are appreciated! thanks.
