New to jeep, and off roading

what's up? I have owned trucks since I could drive, have had a few 4x4's. Took my Z71 out in the mud once......once.

I have always wanted a jeep, long story, and I bought one last month. I sooooooo want to go play in the mud and water, rocks and sand....all the cool things you can do in a jeep, I want to do them.

I bought a 2006 TJ, it has aftermarket wheels and tires but I'm thinking they will get a little bigger after a nice lift! rock sliders(nerf bars) and bumpers were also on at the time of purchase.

thanks for the advice in advance!!

Bob

I'm thinking the super charger and exhaust, might even do that before the lift. I'll see how all that goes before I get into swapping axles and gears. I'm lookin to get a safari rack, and a few other cosmetic bolt on's. Want to paint the hard top same color as the body....and add lights..

Sooooooo! much stuff that can be done.....it's like a friggin kid in a candy shop!

If you want to wheel it then your best investment are skid splates...skid everthing...steering gear box, oil pan, control arms, etc. Racks on top only get hung up un trees. Super chargers won't help with off-roading. Spend your money on skids, lift, & tires if you want something other than a mall crawler.
