Cool New to Jeep! Got a question already.

I have a 98 SE tj with a 5 sp manual tranny. It is making a chain rattling noise intermittently. I am thinking it might be a bearing somewhere? Any input from experienced owners. I am currently in Marietta Georgia but moving to Alaska this summer!
