New to me '85 CJ7.

Hi everybody from Round Rock, Tx. Been looking for a CJ7 for many years, gave up for awhile and finally found one. 1985, four cylinder, 117,000 original miles. I've been doing some mechanical stuff to make it safe and dependable. I believe it will be a good daily driver. Eventually will probably put a six cylinder in it but the four runs well for now. Any information/ideas on the " Texan " emblem on the glovebox would be appreciated. I also have a '71 IH Scout 800B. Andre.

Thanks a bunch. I'll post some stuff as I move along. Looks like a great site. Been reading a lot and looking forward to some cooler and wetter weather here. It's been a crazy Texas summer. Andre.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I'm currently getting bids on a paint job. It was origially silver and will probably stick with that. Only has one smalll rust bubble the size of a quarter in front of the left rear wheel. No bondo that I can see. It was kept in a garage on a deer lease for the last several years. Line-x interior with some wear in a few spots. Original back seat but as you can see it's missing the swing away tire carrier. Andre.
