Just came across this forum through the Jeep Tales web site. Our family is a Jeep family as we have four Jeeps currently, three of which are our daily drivers. We have a 2004 Wrangler Unlimited, a 2000 Cherokee, a 1996 Cherokee, and a 1981 Scrambler. Our eldest son sells Jeeps for a dealership in NC. We live in the far western panhandle of Maryland at about a 3,000 foot elevation which means we have 100-250" of snow annually. Four-wheel drive vehicles are simply mandatory for winter driving (late October until mid-April) and there is no better vehicle than a Jeep. My youngest son and I attended our first Jeep Jamboree in June (Snowshoe, WV) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our area has numerous public off-road trails available which is a tremendous blessing. I read many of the threads and replies tonight. It's a great site and I appreciated the many pieces of information I read in the process.
