New to the forum and 4-wheeling

Hey ya'll,
Just joined the forum, so I figured that I would introduce myself.
My name is Kevin. My wife, our newborn son Westley and I are currently stationed in Guam. She is active duty Navy, while I am active duty Coast Guard. I am a mechanic in the CG, but still learning.
I got the 4x4 bug from the guys at work, so I bought my first jeep. It's a 2005 Wrangler Unlimited. It doesn't have too many extras right now. There is a 4" Rough Country lift kit with 33" Nitto All-Terrain Grapplers wrapped around Mikey Thompson rims.
I am putting together a "to do" list for it now. I have basics like a new drop pitman arm and JKS sway bar disconnects on the way here now. I want to equip the jeep to be mainly used as an expedition type vehicle. Here is what I plan to put on the jeep. Any comments are welcome.
Front and rear Ox lockers
Banks powerpack (cold air intake, headers and exhaust)
7-8000lb winch (haven't decided which one yet)
Front and rear rolled tube bumpers
Piaa fog lights (four in the front and two in the rear)
BF Goodwrench mud terrain KM2s on some type of rim that isn't as fancy and no bead locks. (a pain to clean)

Welcome to the forum.
Few things on the above, Its your Jeep so build it how you like. Only thing I wouldn't do from that list is the tube bumpers, most rust out fast. Also depending which rear axle you have you might want to upgrade that with either new stronger shafts or a new housing. Dana 35 has round plastic fill plug(weaker axle) dana 44 has metal square fill plug(stronger).

New to owning a Jeep and off-roading

After drooling over every Jeep, lifted or not, I finally folded and bought myself one. Luckily I found a used 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4door that was lifted already. Please excuse my lack of knowledge concerning lift kits, but as far as I can tell, there are Terraflex and Pro Comp kits on it with 35" tires. I will post pics when I take a few so I can have help from you all with the details
Aside from introducing myself, I have a question...

I took my Jeep out to Half Moon Bay and Big Basin and was making sharp right and left turns while driving through the hills. Each time I made a sharp turn i felt a grinding while I tried to brake and accelerate and also heard a grinding noise as well. I had my mechanic friend check it out before I bought it and the only issue was a loose front end sway bar that should be replaced but since there are three it was dire.

Can anyone guess as to what this drag, grinding, brake/acceleration issue is while making sharp turns???? Help!

Thx. Jaime
