New to the forums and a question...

Hey All,

I'm new to the forums, although have been doing some research on here for a while - I'm a Jeep noob and have the following - 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport, Front Dana 30, Rear Dana 44 (3.73 gear ratio) and am looking to install a Rubicon Express 5.5" Long Arm lift kit, 35x14.50-17LT tires - this will be professionally installed, but I was wondering if any of you guys out there had recommendations for this setup - gear ratio upgrade etc. I'll be using the Jeep for daily drive, and mild to moderate off-road.

Thanks! and I'm looking forward to getting acquainted!

Welcome CAGas.
What you propose sounds a bit excessive and expensive for what you"ll be using it for. If your new TJ Wrangler is your DD, I'd think about a more middle of the road mod that's probably more road friendly but also capable offroad. I don't know about your lady, but my wife just barely tolorates the additional 3 inches it takes to get her butt into the passenger seat of my Wrangler.
Lot's of good options out there, but personally I don't think a 5" long arm suspention system would be the way to go for a DD. Check out what others on the forum have and some more research. Good Luck and welcome to WF!
