New to the TJ, not new to Jeeps

Hi all

I am Tony, I live in Spain and just found an abandoned TJ, which the owner sold for next to nothing.

It's a 1998 2.5 with a 5 speed manual...not fast, but at least it's a 4x4

Here it is, right after we towed it to my friends workshop

It cleaned up pretty good and I removed most of the bugs and spiders that crawled into everywhere

And then

... it needs a waterpump, t-stat, fanbelt, a battery, turn signal switch and the heater blower is not working. Soft-top is shot. That's about it.

Someone stole a fuse from the main fusebox under te hood, searched for a while why there was no power on some of the interior fuses (radio etc).

I drained the fueltank, put new fuel in and it started up right away. I do hope the headgasket is still ok...we'll know tomorrow, pump and other parts just came in.

I have an '02 Liberty CRD too, which overhere is called Cherokee.

I've been on Jeepforums since I bought that one and find them very helpfull and fun.

See you around, Tony.

PS: my sig isn't working?

Yes sir, with 245/75/16 tires

My latest mod was a custom build roof rack I had made in the USA.

And I also started a Libby club here in spain with our own webforum..

Anyway, back on the TJ:

Got the pump in...it doesn't overheat, but I don't like the pressure in the upper rad hose. I'm afraid the head gasket is leaking. I needed to get out of the workshop (they charge per day for the use of their tools and workspace) and so I drove it to work and left the KJ parked close to the shop.

Hope I make it home
