, so check that out. For 2012, other than the engine change nothing is certain. There's conjecture and opinion, but that's it. As far as the current transmission, I don't think there are any major problems.
Gas mileage depends on a lot of factors. My 2011 Sport averages about 16.5 in the city and about 20.5-21 on the highway.
You're the only one that can tell you if you need a Rubicon.
If you asked the entire board, 50% would probably say to spend the money now and get the Rubicon, and the other 50% would say to buy a Sport and use the extra money to upgrade as you see fit (so you don't pay for what you don't need, etc.). Personally, I belong to the latter group.
