new wranlger owner in need of a good top

It came with a hard top and i'm trying to find the best brief top for it, like one that doesn't flap much and is decently water resistant. any suggestions would be great.

There are so many types of tops-and choices for "soft-tops" and combinations of tops/covers/jammers. Have you looked at Bestop/Quadratec/4wd parts? Could google Jeep Tops.

Bottom line-Bestop makes the OEM tops has for years-they "set the standard"-any idea what you want the top to be like?

Thanks for the welcomes. Glad to
Finally be a part of the Wrangler family.

I want to be able to cover the front seats and cargo area through out the summer without putting the hard top back on. I'm in upstate NY so it rains often and I just want the inside protected when it's parked over night.

I have a Half top-a little pricey for what you get but no complaints. It Flips back like a sun roof in front but keeps the back end enclosed-think of a pick-up-with toneau cover backend- Jeep. You could run it year round. The back window also zips out.

With the rain most people just pull the carpet and drain plugs. Don't know where in NY you are-is theft an issue? do you have a garage?

There a re a lot of combinations of tops and if your Jeep is garaged may want to consider a frameless top that allows the back windows to zip in and out.

Here are a couple pics of tops I run -the snow is my half top-the other looks the same but is different is a bikini top with jammer and duster.
