New YJ... Haven't even bought it yet!

Hey all. My name is Matt, from Kansas. I'm on the wait-list for a '95 YJ that's my girlfirend's dad's that he will be selling soon. He acquired this thing from my gf years ago, and wants to sort of "keep it in the family", so I agreed to buy it, once he finds a new truck for himself.

My dad has a '98 TJ and I've always wanted one for myself, so when this deal popped up - I was sure to speak up with my interest. It's a '95 with some body and floor pan rust, and just the 2.5 - but the price is right, so here we go... lol

I'm still trying to decide if I want to completely replace the rusty body panels (mainly just behind all 4 wheel wells) or just cover them with some sort of body armor and call it good... I'm sure not trying to make this a show rig - just a moderate trail machine that I can daily drive during the summer, if I want.

I've done a little research on this site, but have a lot more to do. There is a ton of information here! So - future mods are fixing the exterior, new floor pans, then rhinoling/POR-15 the entire interior & frame, 4" RC lift and 33's, 4.10 gear swap with lockers, and eventually swap over to the 4.0L, or if I get a wild hair, a 350 Chevy, although I hear it's a ton of work... Of course, this is just the short list - I know how the mod bug works...

So here's a pic of all it currently, in all its glory lol hopefully I'll have it in my hands by the time Spring REALLY hits!

Good things come to those who wait... I finally brought this beast home... Towed it 800 miles behind my Trailblazer SS (pulled and strapped up the rear DS).

I just started a new job 100 miles away so I stay down here with family during the week so the only chance I'll have to wrench on this thing is the weekends Nevertheless, I'm starting to order parts... Ordered 2 gallons of Monstaliner & 1 qt chassis saver, rock sliders, and front floor pans. I plan on deciding on a rear bumper/hitch, front bumper lights, and if I'll replace the rocker panels this week, and ordering those as well. Hopefully I can have all this stuff by Christmas and then spend the 4-5 days I have off then cleaning it all up and at least getting it presentable! I have plans for a 4" lift and 33's in the future... This thing will never see the highway, I've got 3 other rides for that lol. Anyway - Maybe once all my parts are here I'll start a built thread...
