newb from Chicago burbs.....

Hi everyone!! My name is T.J. I am from th far northwestern suburbs of Chicago (Cary/Crystal Lake). I have just aquired a 1997 TJ Wrangler. It was put into a ditch and has some front end damage. I plan on fixing it, doing some minor mods to it, and making it a fun camping and mild off roading rig for my son and I to enjoy.

this is my fourth Jeep and my 3rd TJ. In the past I have had a 1986 Grand Wagoneer, a 1997 Wrangler, 2003 Wrangler, and my current 97 TJ. I am looking forward to getting to know some of you, sucking up your tips, finding parts and knowledge, and just plain enjoying the Jeep comunity!!

here is a picture of my new toy (I hope it doesnt come out to large, my appologies if it is a giant picture)

here is a picture of the Jeep about a year before the ditch incident playing around at a track day.

thanks,
T.J.

thanks Wirenuting. I dont know anywhere yet. I will start looking into finding trails more when the Jeep is closer to finished. If I get to excited I might rush through fixing it, dont want to do that.

I'm new to it & have been watching for duck/deer blinds out in the fields.
With so many Corprate farm fields it's easy to spot some. Also those abandoned sub-divisions look promising.

thanks for all the warm welcomes!! I hope I can contribute to the forum a bit. I am a seasoned technician (not for Jeep, but they are all just nuts and bolts right..).

thanks,
T.J.
