Newb from Washington State

Hello fellow Jeepers!
Crazy Duey here. Never been on the forum before but have already learned some great things. I am on my second Wrangler and Love these rigs.
My first was an 06 TJ with a 4" SuperLift and Super Swamper 33's. Did nothing more to it other than spray in bedliner and a Banks Cold Air intake (Huge power difference). I sold that and realized how much I missed having a Jeep.
Then...the clouds opened up and the Sun came out on Duey (something rare in Vancouver WA.) My nephew's in-laws bought him a new car (lucky bastard) and he needed to sell his 94 YJ. Being the kind Uncle I am I bought it from him for a mere $700.00. Now don't think I took advantage of him...it had a blown engine AND a blown tranny.
I took out the engine to rebuild it but it was so sludged up that it was not worth the $$ and time. Instead I bought a new crate motor (4.0L i6) from S&H in Spokane WA and put it in. Took out the Tranny and took that in to Clark County Transmission and now she is rockin. I have also repainted it from a dirty white to OD Green (ex-Army here) and have used Herculiner on the inside (RECOMMENDED). I will have some before and after pics on here soon once it is complete. I have named here Tallahassee-Zombie Stomper
Hope to hear from some of you and gain some assistance and help when I can. Always looked for some local people to go out with.

Duey

What do you mean done? If you stick around here long enough - as soon as you finish one project - you start looking for another one.

The only way I've seen a jeep as "done" is when the owner was flat broke

Even then - Done was only a temporary thing

Ok. Pulled her outta the garage today and took some pics. Still rough looking but she is coming along. Next is lift and wheels. Also need rock rails and de IDE on fender flares...thinking flat tube. One thing to remember is that she only has 20 miles on the engine and tranny and new magna flow exhaust. So much more to do

What a good lookin' Jeep, I really like what you've got going with it. I look forward to seeing it when the fenders/lift/wheels get put on

Nice looking Jeep there Duey, I have been toying around the idea of re-painting mine U.S. Desert Sand with flat black "trim" like the diamond plate rear covers would be flat black, the windshield hinges would be Flat black etc etc. Just toying with the idea.

Sounds like a good plan. I thought of that as well but went with green. If you go to bobs paintland in hazel Dell they use the actual govt specs to make the paint. They will also make a couple of spray cans for touch ups and such. Very cool place and people.
If you go with tan we will look sweet together when we go wheelin
