newbie

Hi folks, I just join the website and I am a first time jeep owner. My dad just past along a 1994 jeep sahara. Not sure if this is how you describe the vehicle. I am excited a out the recent gift and I am looking foward to worki g on it it. At first glance it needs a top currently has a soft top. I am not sure which way to go hardtop of soft top. I know nothing about jeeps and I am hoping you guys help me out with good sound advice. I do want to go 4wheeling and making the most out of the gift.

Any advice would be appreciated

Regards,

Elliot

Welcome Elliot. I am on my second jeep so I know a bit about them but far from an expert. What you have is a YJ, but Sahara is the nicer version. More on the rare side too. Make sure you keep it in good condition.

As for the top, that totally depends on you and what kind of space you have for storage. The top is rather heavy and kind of big. Taking it off by yourself is difficult. Maybe look around on Craigslist for a soft top or look into a Bestop Replace a top which would use your existing hardware assuming its still in good condition.

Thanks, appreciate the feedback, looks like the back is not closing properly, may need new hardware.
