Newbie

Hi, I just wanted to pop in and say hello. Hopefully if everything pans out, I will be picking up my 2012 JKS tomorrow after work!

A little about myself. I am 25 years old and this will be my first wrangler. I had a GC in high school but have always had a fondness for the "real jeep" (just kidding, I loved my GC too). I am a member of the National Guard and I generally love anything outdoors. I'm a die hard hunter and love to fish and camp when I get the chance. I think the camaraderie of this community is one of the major factors that drew me in. My background is in modding cars (I know, I know) but I feel that is has given me the confidence to get under the hood and wrench when I get the chance and money.

My goals right now are to just bask in the glory of the wrangler mostly, but I would like to eventually get some tinted windows (soft top) and a nice set of tires and wheels. I say this, but I have also been bitten by the "mod bug" more than once and know where this will probably take me lol.

I look forward to getting to know this community and you guys and gals in particular. I'll start with my first question. The only thing that I don't like about the jeep that I am getting is that it has chrome door handles and chrome mirrors. My questions is, are these just covers that I can remove or are they factory? I have the covers on my current car's door handles and I hate them and would take them off but it tore the paint off when I tried the first time. Anyway, thanks in advance if someone can answer my question and hopefully someday I can help answer some questions for another newbie!

Mac
