Newbie From Keystone State

I'm a Jeep rookie, never owned one and have only ridden in them, I'm not an Off Road Rookie thou, spent 11 yrs in USMC Motor Transport breaking Uncle Sam's parts

I've come here for in site about the 07 Wrangler 3.8 power train, I'm shopping Wrangler X's and am thinking about pulling the trigger on a 113 K Jeep that looks tit's but has a lot of miles for that year. I'm an old 4.0L guy loved the straight 6 my parents have had 3 over the years and I couldn't kill them as a teenage driver and still wrench on one to this day in a 2000 Cherokee. However the 3.8 is a mystery to me I've no back ground with it and want to learn before I jump in a High mileage grenade with the pin pulled. Please teach an old Jarhead some new tech..

BTW, this Forum seems to be a great place to talk Jeep
