Newbie from Ridgecrest California

Howdy from Ridgecrest California. I am a new jeep owner as of about three weeks ago. I purchased a stock 05 Sport with the I6 automatic. I have taken it off road twice and cant wait to go again. I dont plan to be real extreme like major rock crawling so I will probably not do too much to this stocker. At most, I may put on 31 inch tires and a one or two inch lift. I believe I can do that and not have to mess with reinforcing the axles or dealing with regearing. A friend of mine is going to have me tag along on the Big Bear California Jamboree put on by the Inland Empire 4 Wheeler this summer and cant wait. In the weeks since I have acquired the jeep I have purchased a Hi lift jack with accessories, master craft roll bar handles, tread lightly floor liners for front and rear, a five gallon metal gas can, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, tow strap and chain to use hi lift for winching ops, the owners manual because it was missing and usually has good info about the vehicle and the factory service manual. Yet to come is the can carrier, jack carrier, which may turn into bumper purchases. I may or may not get a winch but if I do I think I will go with a Ramsey 8,000#. And other that the normal stuff you should take with you, I will probably at some point purchase the hard top. I am like a kid in the candy store.

Ridgecrest is on the eastern sierra side about one and a half hours north of Victorville and two hours from Bishop Ca.
