Newbie from Wildomar, CA

Just picked up a 2010 JK 2dr Hardtop on Monday. I've always been in love with Wranglers. But, for one reason or another, this is my first opportunity to dive into the Jeep lifestyle.

The Jeep: 2010 JK 2dr Hardtop. I picked it up from a dealer in Orange County. Well, the Jeep already has 35 x 12.9 x 18 tires on it. And naturally, the dealer didn't know much about the lift work that was done to it. I am mechanically inclined but lack Jeep experience. So, to the best of my ability I can tell that it has a small body lift on it. I measured the spacers between the frame and the body and they're only 1". No name brand decals on any components that I can see. Any advice on how to figure out exactly what's under my new baby and how to make it better would be greatly appreciated.

The Owner: Active duty Marine Staff Sergeant who just returned from Afghanistan and bought himself a shiny new toy to play with. It won't be shiny much longer.

Matt, Thank YOU for your dedication and service...

For detailed information on your Jeep, go to Jeeps web sight, customer service, send an email listing your year, vin#, etc and ask for information.

I did this with my 93 when I got it and got more info than I asked. They also told me the e-brake recall had not been done to this vehicle and to bring it, with a copy of the email, to my nearest jeep dealer to get it done.

enjoy the toy! You by Camp penelton (SP?)?

Thanks everyone. Glad to be home and playing with my new toy.

Kim: I'm definitely going to do that. I just need to knock out the install for my new rear bumper and tire carrier first. Yep, stationed on Camp Pendleton. And, commuting from Wildomar. Usually take my bike though.

SweetJeeps: I guess I should welcome you to the forum as well. Do you know of any groups in the area?
