Newbie Ohio Boy. Love this site, already experiencing info overload ;)

What's up everyone?!
wish I had joined this forum 3 years ago when I bought my Jeep. As it stands, I've driven my stock 2002 Wrangler all over the Buckeye State and a little further. As I am in a career that takes me off road and must suffer the yearly Ohio winter, I have finally begun the stages of suspension lifts and the like. Excited, but every decision I make comes with about a dozen new questions.... including how to use a forum, ugh... bare with me

Thanks JD! Great avatar btw!
I've been searching the forum endlessly for info to avoid posting a thread that has been probably posted a 1000 times before, but I get lost in the endless variations of mods everyone has.
I have a 2002 Wrangler Sport 4L 5 speed manual. I am looking to order (as early as tonight) a Skyjacker 4" Suspension lift w/shocks, 33" tires (maybe 10" w) and 15x8 rims. From what I have read, everything will clear fine and I won't need to do any heavy drivetrain mods.
But I'm concerend with gear ratio changes! don't want to get into that as I drive long straight distances to work but go off road once I get there.

Yes you posted correctly. You should post your question under the TJ section of the forum though. Don't worry about duplicating a question that has already been asked. I've never had any luck with the search engine in this forum, so I always have to post my questions anew.

Welcome! Yep, hit the TJ section for tech questions. I will tell you though that you should be fine, especially with the 6 cylinder, but don't expect the greatest gas mileage or a stellar 0-60 speed
