had a 98 GCL auto
had a 08 Wrangler X auto
have a 00 TJ Stick and love it.

just wanna say hello to everyone out there.

mearsh
a guy in Manitoba

ps. a quick question.

is there a simple answer to why sometimes ( 2 times) in 2 months the stick has "popped" back out of 1st gear after just shifting into it ?
am I not "fully" in gear as I release the clutch? am I not fully depressing the pedal?
I simply don't want to do any more damage ( if any at all) to my new baby.

ok it was a longer question than intended

Welcome. Chances are you are not fully engaged in the gear so when you let the clutch out the load on the gears will make it pop back out. It has happened to me a couple of times and it is when I am lazy and not thinking about it. Sometimes at a stop light I can tell when it does not fully go into gear so I simply take it out and put it in again and make sure it goes in all the way. Once you get the feel of it fully engaging you should not have the problem anymore. Always push the clutch pedal all the way too.
