Thumbs up Newbie w/ questions

I just bought a 1990 Jeep Wrangler. It's got the 4.2 w/ 5 speed. I paid $1300 and it has its share of rust... Is that a good deal? Soft top only, new tires, runs good.
Also, it's a YJ right??? What's the deal w/ round vs square lights???
What's the most common issues w/ these jeeps??
I'd like to buy a new passenger side front fender (its a bit rusty), anyone know the best place?
Any commments, questions or concerns are appreciated!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum.

Yes a 90 is a YJ.
The deal between round vs square headlights is just a joke between jeepers. YJ model wranglers where the only jeeps with square headlights. All other wrangler models have round headlights.
Most common issues in todays time is rust. The windshield frame and rear frame above the axle are problem area's for rust.

PIC'S ?????

I'll try to get some pics...I don't pick it up till tomorrow, cant wait...
My concerns are the drivetrain...anything that is weak?
I'm already thinking of mods....definetly wheels and tires...maybe a lift?

the drive train is solid. if you get into some bigger wheeling the rear axle is the first weak link. the biggest problem with the 4.2 is the carb. they got it all screwed up trying to help emissions. yours is the last year for that engine.

congrats, and put up some pics.
