Noob here from Birmingham - question on stereo wiring

Hey all! First post to the forum, longtime visitor.

I have a 2001 Wrangler and I need to identify this wire behind my stereo. I have no clue where this is supposed to be plugged in.

It is a flat, silver braided wire covered in foam/insulation. It appears to originate behind the instrument panel on the left. The end of it is connected to a small black wire that isn't hooked up to anything.

It doesn't appear to be the ground wire - a different wire is tagged ground.

I posted a pic in the hopes someone can identify this thing and tell me where to stick it! HA!

Or here: TJ Jeep Wrangler Forum

And somebody will tell you where to stick it.
