I've been creeping this forum for the past two weeks after picking up my 2014 JKU Polar Edition in Hydro. Thought I'd pop in and formally introduce myself.
I'm looking forward to getting out and finding some trails! Between this new cage and my Harley, I don't think I'll be easy to track down around the house very much!
If anyone is in the area and knows of some good trails to hit, please feel free to let me know. I've searched here and on many other websites, but can't seem to find anything within a 2 hour drive. I did pick up a detailed 80 some odd page map of the state and stopped in the local National Forest Service office to get some maps from them. I've gotten some good ideas from those resources, but nothing beats first hand knowledge!
The pic is of the new ride after taking my wife and kids on a quick trip to show them the 4 hydroelectric dams we have in the area. Only gravel roads with muddy spots due to the snow yesterday (yup, it snowed here yesterday), but the reaction from the family was awesome! They kept wanting me to TRY and get the Jeep stuck and kept pointing out mud holes for me to drive through! Nothing like discovering a new activity the whole family enjoys that is outdoors!
I welcome everyone's feedback and can't wait to learn from and hopefully contribute to the community!
